Aspect outside the walls of the Montreal Book Fair, the Salon dans la ville aims to reach audiences directly in their neighborhoods, making book and reading accessible to everyone, where they live. Born from a desire to meet the public, the project invests places of everyday life to create moments of dialogue and discovery around literature, closer to the communities of Greater Montreal and its surroundings.

Rich in meetings, performances, discussions, dedications, conferences, workshops and story time, the Salon in the city also aims to highlight the authors and their works. In this sense, the event aims to highlight the work of book and reading craftsmen, to make bookstores, libraries, cultural spaces and all the places that punctuate the daily life of Montrealers. His ambition is also to create bridges between the Salon and the various communities of the metropolis.
